Venue change for second TCR South America round
The second TCR South America round has been moved from Autódromo Rosamonte to Autódromo Ciudad de Oberá while the scheduled date remains the same, April 19-20.
“All parties did their best to complete the works, but there wasn’t enough time to do it properly. Motorsports in Misiones is one and the same, so we decided to go to Oberá,” said Federico Punteri, President of TCR South America.
“We’ve had a full schedule since the beginning of the year to ensure consistency for our drivers, teams, sponsors, and fans. Unfortunately, in this case, we have to make the change, but I’m sure it will be one of the best events of the year. It’s worth highlighting all the work done by Misiones to bring the category to the province.”
The move has been made as track work is still ongoing at the Autódromo Rosamonte and the two circuits are located around 80 kilometres from each other.
This marks the first time since 1999 that a major touring car championship visits Autódromo Ciudad de Oberá.
