Bradley Burns stripped of Race 2 victory at Donington Park

Bradley Burns was handed a ten-second penalty for jumping the start of the final TCR UK race at Donington Park, his second jump start penalty of his two debut races.

The Audi driver started eighth on the reversed grid and soon worked his way up into second place behind Sam Laidlaw (Cupra).

As Sam Laidlaw made a mistake, Burns claimed a lead he held over the finishing line.

But shortly after his pass, the stewards announced that his start was under investigation, just like in the first race, and that a decision would be announced after the race.

The penalty drops Burns to third place, elevating Sam Laidlaw to first and Adam Shepherd to second. It should also be noted that Burns was entered as a guest driver who does not score championship points.

Shepherd heads the standings on 195 points, with Sam Laidlaw second on 150 points and Steve Laidlaw third on 133 points.
