RC2 Racing Team announces two Hondas for Fernández and Concepción

RC2 Racing Team will enter two Hondas for Felipe Fernández and Santiago Concepción in this year’s TCR Europe season.

Fernández finished fifth overall and claimed the Diamond Trophy in TCR Europe last year for GOAT Racing.

“First of all, I want to thank everyone involved in this project for embarking on this venture once again, especially my family for their support and to RC2 Racing Team for their trust in me,” said Fernández.

“Last season I wasn’t as consistent as I would have liked and I made some mistakes. Over the off-season I have worked together with RC2 Racing Team to improve those driving areas and also how to prepare for the weekend, driver and car, to be fast from the very beginning of FP1.

“For this season I would like to improve on my 2024 results, but more importantly, improve my qualifying performance, which I think was my weakest point last year.”

Concepción made his TCR Europe debut last year for GOAT Racing and drove selected races to finish tenth overall.

“The plan is to do the whole championship, and before the first race we’ll do some testing to be prepared to fight at the top from the start,” said Concepción.

“I remember the feeling very well from the last race of 2024, and I’m very excited to get racing again.

“I felt very comfortable with the guys at RC2 Racing Team, the mechanics, the engineers, and with JAS Motorsport – the car was working very well at the end of the season – it took some time to get the right feeling with the car but by Valencia we’d got it; so I’m thinking I’m ready to be fighting there at the front of the grid.”

RC2 Racing Team fielded a single Audi in TCR Europe last year for Victor Fernández.

This announcement makes it eight so far confirmed drivers for the 2025 season which starts next month.
