Will Brown beats team-mate Broc Feeney to victory in Melbourne

Reigning champion Will Brown took his first Supercars Championship win of 2025 in the third race of the weekend at Albert Park, beating pole sitter and Triple Eight team-mate Broc Feeney.

Brown got the better start as the lights went out and got past Feeney before the first corner.

And just as in this weekend’s previous races, there were safety car interventions.

The first came on the first lap as Matthew Payne spun following contact with Cooper Murray who had been pushed from behind by Will Davison.

A separate incident on the first lap saw David Reynolds spinning at Turn 4 following contact with Bryce Fullwood.

A third incident had James Golding off into the gravel after contact with Chaz Mostert.

And it was not long until the safety car was called into action again as Murray went off into the barriers at Turn 11 on the sixth lap.

Matt Stone Racing driver Nick Percat had managed to get past Feeney for second place in the short period of green flag between the two safety car sessions.

But Triple Eight driver Feeney fought back to reclaim second place as the second safety car session ended, with Percat instead having to defend from Brodie Kostecki in fourth place.

Percat was seemingly struggling with a technical issue but was able to only just hang on to the final podium position after a tough fight with Kostecki, who instead lost a position to Davison heading out of the last corner on the last lap.

Brown won the race after 15 laps, with Feeney a close second, just 0.5 seconds adrift.

Percat claimed third ahead of Davison and Kostecki, while Ryan Wood rounded off the top six.

The fourth and final race of the weekend starts at 10:25 local time/00:25 CET on Sunday.
