Maria Nienkötter joins Cobra Racing in TCR South America

Maria Nienkötter has been confirmed by Cobra Racing to drive one of their Toyota Corolla TCRs in the 2025 TCR South America season.

The 18-year-old tested an Audi RS 3 LMS for the team late last year at Interlagos with team principal Flavio ‘Noño’ Figueiredo and driver Felipe Maluhy as advisors.

Nienkötter becomes the third ever female driver to race in the championship and receives financial support from Brazil’s National Sporting Authority CBA, TCR South America and Cobra Racing as part of an initiative to get more female drivers into the sport.

The Brazilian driver has previously raced karts and single seaters, most recently the 2024 Campeonato Paulista de Fórmula Delta.
