TCR Europe grid set for grow for 2025
TCR Europe is set to benefit from an increased grid for the 2025 season after confirming that eleven teams have signed up thus far for the new campaign.
Although a dozen teams appeared on track at some stage last year, only five were present for every event with that number more than doubling going into the new season.
It comes at a time when Spaniard Rubén Fernández – who first appeared in the series himself in 2020 – has taken over a promoter of the championship to lead the series into a fresh era.
“I’m delighted with the reception that we’ve had for the 2025 TCR Europe season from the teams,” he said. “We’ve been working hard throughout the winter, and we have a quality calendar this year with some fantastic tracks.
“We can also confirm an incredible array of highly professional teams, which will bring with them equally strong drivers as we relaunch the series this year.
“I want to thank all the teams that have confirmed their participation today. It’s fantastic to be able to confirm such an amazing and truly international field of teams this early, and with some time before the season starts, we hope to have even more announcements in the coming weeks, especially given the strong prize initiatives that we announced last week.”
