Dexter Patterson to make BTCC return with Un-Limited Motorsport

Dexter Patterson has sealed a return to the British Touring Car Championship, completing Un-Limited Motorsport’s driver line-up for the forthcoming 2025 season.

The Scotsman – who last competed in the UK’s premier motor racing series in 2023 – will partner rookie Max Hall in a second Cupra Leon this year.

Patterson made his BTCC debut in 2022 alongside Aiden Moffat at Laser Tools Racing before making the switch to the now disbanded Team HARD the following year.

His best result came at his home event at Knockhill in 2023 where he charged to sixth place in the reverse grid contest.

“I’m excited to be back on the BTCC grid after spending a year racing GT4 in Europe,” said Patterson. “Having already competed in two BTCC seasons, I have a strong understanding of the championship and the driving style required to succeed.

“My main goal for 2025 is to extract the maximum performance from every event on the calendar, with a particular focus on the Jack Sears Trophy. Of course, a few podiums along the way would be fantastic, too.

“It feels great to be returning to BTCC, as there’s definitely unfinished business. With every season, I gain more experience, which will only help in such a close and competitive championship.

“My goal now is to quickly adapt the car to suit my driving style and continue pushing it forward to get the most out of it.”
