Jan Magnussen returns to TCR Denmark with TPR Motorsport

Former F1 driver Jan Magnussen will return to TCR Denmark for the 2025 season with Swedish team TPR Motorsport.

“I’m really looking forward to coming back to Danish motorsport and fighting for the title in TCR Denmark. I know it will be a difficult task, because I’ve been away for a year while the others have been practicing – but I’m coming to win races,” said Magnussen.

Magnussen last raced in the 2023 season of TCR Denmark, finishing fourth overall for Team Auto Lounge Racing while driving a Cupra.

The Dane will drive a Honda next year alongside already confirmed TPR Motorsport team-mates Mike Halder and René Povlsen.

“I already know Mike. He has been a tough but fair competitor, and I am looking forward to being on the team with him and René – and generally being part of a team that has proven to such an extent that they can win races in TCR. I am looking forward to starting the preparations with them,” said Magnussen.

The team is yet to confirm whether Magnussen will drive a new specification FL5 Civic or the older generation FK7.

“I am pleased to welcome a skilled racing driver and great personality like Jan Magnussen. I am convinced that Jan, together with Mike Halder and René Povlsen, will lift the team to new heights. We will go 100 percent for all three championships in TCR Denmark in 2025,” said team-manager Toni Persic.
