Squadra Martino confirms Nelson Piquet Jr. and Matías Cravero for 2025

Squadra Martino has confirmed Nelson Piquet Jr. and Matías Cravero as full-time drivers for their 2025 TCR South America programme.

The duo drove selected races for the team in 2024, with Cravero claiming pole and fastest lap at Autódromo Oscar y Juan Gálvez.

“I am very happy to announce that I have joined the official Honda team and Squadra Martino. I am excited and looking forward to doing well and claiming many podiums with the team. I would like to thank everyone who made this project possible,” said Cravero.

Former F1 driver Nelson Piquet Jr made his TCR South America debut at Interlagos last year and will drive a new Honda Civic Type R FL5 TCR in 2025.

“I am very happy to compete for the first time in a full championship with front-wheel drive cars and to fight again for a South American title,” said Piquet Jr.

“I thank Honda and Squadra Martino for the opportunity and I will work hard to repay the trust they are placing in me. I competed in a TCR stage last year in Interlagos and was very impressed with the professionalism of the category.”
