JH Racing to run Junior Touring Car Programme
JH Racing has been named as the team that will operate the new Junior Touring Car Programme being introduced into TCR UK for the 2025 season.
The team scored six wins in 2024 thanks to Callum Newsham, who was in contention for the championship title until the season finale at Silverstone before eventually finishing in third place.
Darron Lewis also scored multiple podiums in a second Hyundai i30 N as he secured the Goodyear Diamond Award, and finished just behind Newsham in the overall standings – scoring points in every race bar one.
A test on 16 Dcember will provide potential drivers for the programme – who must be aged between 16-25 – with the chance to sample the Hyundai before a final decision is taken on who will secure the role for the new season.
“I’m delighted to see JH Racing confirm their involvement with next year’s Junior Touring Car Programme,” series promoter Stewart Lines said.
“Having been a strong, competitive force in this year’s championship, this is the best possible opportunity for junior drivers to make the next step up to touring car racing, learning their trade with a race-winning touring car team.”
