Albin Stureson enjoys Exion Racing test

Teenager Albin Stureson insists that the STCC is an ‘interesting option for the future’ after sampling an Exion Racing BMW i4 during a test at Ljungbyhed Motorbana.

The 17-year-old son of Johan Stureson – a regular in the STCC in the early 2000s – made the move up from karting last season in Formula Nordic, where he scored two race wins to end the season in fifth place.

His plans for next season remain to be seen, but the STCC is now being viewed as one serious option going forwards for the youngster as he looks to follow in the footsteps of his father.

“It was a fantastic experience to try the STCC car,” he said. “It was something very new compared to what I have driven so far, and being able to test STCC feels right for me where I am in my career right now.

“It was the first time I drove a car with so much power and it really felt like I was developing and getting closer to the car’s limits with every lap I drove.

“STCC is clearly an interesting career option for the future that I will keep a close eye on. A big thank you to STCC for giving me this chance.”
