Tom Ingram and Tom Chilton to spearhead Team VERTU charge in 2025 BTCC

EXCELR8 Motorsport have announced that Tom Ingram and Tom Chilton will remain with the squad for the 2025 British Touring Car Championship season, running under the Team VERTU banner.

After three successful campaigns of competing under the Team BRISTOL STREET MOTORS name, the Hyundai i30 N squad will evolve into Team VERTU next year following the news that the Vertu Motors group will consolidate its three main retail brands – one of which was Bristol Street Motors – under one operating name.

Ingram, who narrowly missed out on clinching a second BTCC title this year, will spearhead the four-strong driver line-up next season and he’ll once again be joined by Chilton, who recently competed in his 500th race in the UK’s premier motorsport series.

Confirmation of Ingram, Chilton and Team VERTU comes ahead of winter testing, where both drivers are set to hit the track at Anglesey this week to begin further development work on the front-wheel-drive Hyundai.

“Our relationship with Bristol Street Motors over the past four seasons has been fantastic, and there is no doubting the fact that they have played a crucial role in the success we have enjoyed with our touring car programme,” said Justina Williams, EXCELR8 Team Owner.

“We are excited that our relationship will continue into this new era, as Bristol Street Motors evolves into Vertu, and are proud to have the opportunity to build on everything that we have achieved together so far.

“With Tom and Tom continuing to lead our driver line-up, and discussions already underway with other drivers, we are excited about what the 2025 season holds under the Team VERTU name.

“We’re confident that not only will we be fighting for the championship title on track in 2025, but will also be able to do our bit to champion the Vertu brand to race fans across the country.”

Further news on the teams 2025 driver line-up and final race livery will be announced in due course.
