Raphael Reis: “I feel more competitive this time”

Raphael Reis is representing Brazil for the second time in the FIA Motorsport Games this year, driving a Cupra for Monlau Motorsport, and the Brazilian is aiming high.

“It’s my first time here in Spain and in Valencia and I’m very happy to be here, this is a very nice place and I think we will have a very good weekend,” Reis told TouringCarTimes.

“For the first session the track was very good and I was very satisfied with how everything worked out. We focused more on long runs for the second session,” added the Brazilian, who finished third in the first free practice.

“The team is doing a very good job and I think we have a great car, so I believe we will be competitive and in the fight,” added Reis, who is part of the W2 GP Pro team in South America, but is competing with Monlau Motorsport this weekend.

Reis could only manage 15th place in his first run of the FIA Motorsport Games two years ago, but believes this edition will be better for him: “This is my second time in the FIA Motorsport Games, the first one wasn’t very good but I believe this time it will be different because I feel more competitive.”

The Brazilian is targeting a top-three result this weekend: “I would be very happy if we achieve a podium, and I think we will be in the fight.”
