Supercars unveils expanded 2025 schedule
Organisers of the Supercars series have revealed an expanded calendar for the 2025 season that will feature a total of 13 events.
The season will kick off at Sydney Motorsport Park in late February and run through to late November in Adelaide, and includes a return to Queensland Raceway for the first time since 2019.
Further changes include The Bend becoming the first enduro rounds prior to Bathurst, whilst Sandown remains on the calendar after being saved from potential closure following a change in leadership at the Melbourne Racing Club – which operates racing activities at the site.
The Wanneroo circuit in Perth is also set to feature for the final time ahead of a planned move to a street track in the city from 2026.
“The expansion to 13 events not only brings back Ipswich but solidifies Supercars’ national and international footprint,” Supercars CEO Shane Howard said.
“We’re thrilled about the strategic additions and shifts in the calendar, including moving Sandown to a November date and debuting an endurance round at The Bend.
“We’re incredibly excited to announce the return of the Ipswich event in 2025. After a few years off the calendar, we know fans in south-east Queensland have been eager for its return.
“Queensland Raceway has had significant upgrades, and the August event will be one to mark in the calendar to attend at a truly revitalised venue.”
