Eric Gene secures Motorsport Games opportunity
Eric Gene has become the latest driver to confirm his place on the grid for the touring car element of the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games.
Gene, the son of ex-World Touring Car Championship racer Jordi, has been selected to represent Team Spain in the event, which will be held on Spanish soil next month.
The touring car races are scheduled to take place at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, with Gene keen to replicate the kind of performance that has seen him finish on the podium in TCR Spain this season.
“I’m very proud to represent Spain and take part in the FIA Motorsport Games,” he said.
“It’s very exciting for me that the event is going to take place in Valencia. To be able to race with all the support of the local fans will be brilliant.”
Rocco Coronel, son of experience touring car racer Tom, will also appear in the Games as part of the Team Netherlands line-up, with the youngster competing in the Karting Junior category.
