Brink heads title rival Eriksson by 0.001s in first Mantorp test

Championship leader Tobias Brink headed a close first test of the STCC season finale weekend at Mantorp Park, beating team-mate and title rival Jimmy Eriksson by one thousand of a second.

Mikael Karlsson made it a Brink Motorsport Tesla 1-2-3 in third place, 0.101 seconds from the top time.

Axel Bengtsson, who has had a tough season, was fourth fastest, trailing Brink by 0.244 seconds.

Viktor Gustavsson was fastest of the Exion Racing Volkswagens in fifth place, four tenths from the top time, ahead of reigning champion Robert Dahlgren of PWR Racing Cupra.

The session went underway without any stoppages or incidents, with the STCC field using the short Mantorp Park circuit for the first time since 2016.

The second test of the season finale starts at 13:45 CEST.
