STCC reveals five date calendar for 2025

Organisers of the STCC have released a five event calendar for 2025 on the eve of the 2024 season finale.

The second season electric racing in the series will kick off in Gothenburg with a head-to-head event before a return to Gelleråsen Arena, with Ljungbyheds Motorbana, Knutstorp and Mantorp Park also on the schedule.

“We have produced a strong calendar for STCC 2025 with a good mix of different types of arenas, everything from the city track in the middle of Gothenburg to the airport track in Ljungbyhed and classic tracks such as Gelleråsen Arena. This allows us to bring electrified elite racing to a wide range of audiences around the country in the best possible way,” STCC CEO Micke Bern said.

“A key part of the regrowth of the STCC is continuity with the calendar so that drivers, teams, partners and fans can plan and create traditions that in turn grow the interest and value of the entire STCC.

“We also have a number of news in the works for 2025 in terms of race format and entertainment during the race weekends.”

The Gothenburg event will run in early May and will incorporate a number of revisions to the circuit used this season for the first STCC electric event, before Gelleråsen returns having been missing from the calendar for only the third time since 1996 during the current campaign.

“We are happy to have found a solution with the STCC and welcome them to the Gelleråsloppet in 2025,” Richard Göransson, CEO of Gelleråsen Arena, said.

“The fact that the championship has been electrified is completely in line with our own commitment to sustainable motorsport, and the STCC further broadens our wide range of motorsport during the event.”

Ljungbyhed Motorbana wil. host the final event before the summer break, with Knutstorp and Mantorp Park then rounding out the campaign.
