Tobias Brink heads a Tesla 1-2-3 in second Knutstorp race
Tobias Brink got revenge after his mistake in Race 1 to win the second STCC race of the weekend at Ring Knutstorp, heading a Brink Motorsport Tesla 1-2-3 with team-mates Jimmy Eriksson and Mikael Karlsson.
Brink started from pole and never looked back after the first corner, quickly pulling up a gap over his two team-mates.
Eriksson was close to Brink initially but instead had to focus on defending from team-mate Karlsson after making a mistake in the penultimate corner at mid-point of the race.
But Eriksson managed to stay ahead to secure second place ahead of Karlsson.
Exion Racing’s Alexander Graff (Volkswagen) was once again best of the rest in fourth place ahead of BMW driver Micke Bern in fifth place.
Robert Dahlgren climbed two places to finish sixth ahead of PWR Cupra team-mate Anton Marklund in seventh and Volkswagen driver Viktor Gustavsson in eighth.
Dahlgren’s sixth place means that Brink has taken over the championship lead on 116 points, nine more than Eriksson while Dahlgren drops to third, 16 points adrift.
Next up is qualifying for Race 3 and Race 4 tomorrow, starting at 16:30 CEST this afternoon.
