Robert Dahlgren labels Knutstorp qualifying pace “unacceptable”

Robert Dahlgren had a dreadful qualifying session for the first two STCC races of the weekend at Ring Knutstorp, securing fifth and eighth on the grid.

“The results that we got as a team is not at all what we had in our expectations and it’s far from ideal. It’s unacceptable,” said Dahlgren.

The Cupra driver’s main title rival Tobias Brink secured a pole and a second place, extending his points lead to ten points over Dahlgren who was seven and nine tenths from pole in the two qualifying sessions.

“It’s not as much the places that we got, but that we are so far behind in speed,” said Dahlgren.

“If we don’t drastically change our pace, there is a risk that we won’t be in the title race for the final. We have some ideas on what to change, but right now we are working hard to find improvements.”
