Tobias Brink leads Tesla 1-2-3 in first Knutstorp test

Tobias Brink headed his Brink Motorsport team-mates Mikael Karlsson and Jimmy Eriksson for a Tesla 1-2-3 in the first test of the penultimate STCC weekend at Ring Knutstorp.

Brink set a best lap time of 1:05.917 which was still 1.1 seconds slower than his own best lap time during pre-season testing earlier this year.

Team-mate Karlsson was two tenths behind in second place while Eriksson was four tenths behind in third.

Volkswagen driver Alexander Graff was the top non-Tesla driver in fourth place for Exion Racing, eight tenths from Brink’s time.

Reigning champion Robert Dahlgren was fastest of the PWR Cupra drivers in fifth place, just over a second from the top time, while STCC CEO Micke Bern was the top BMW driver in sixth place, 1.3 seconds off the pace for Exion Racing.

The session was red-flagged once as Brink spun at the exit of Turn 1 with three minutes remaining of the session. The Tesla driver was able to return to the pits without having to be towed back.

The second test of the day starts at 14:00 CEST.
