Jimmy Eriksson and Tobias Brink claims Knutstorp pole positions

Brink Motorsport continued their domination as the STCC qualified at Ring Knutstorp with team-mates Jimmy Eriksson and Tobias Brink claiming one pole position each for the first two races of the weekend.

The first session saw Eriksson beating his Tesla team-mate Brink by just 0.030 seconds.

Alexander Graff (Volkswagen) continued as the top non-Tesla driver with the third fastest time for Exion Racing, 0.419 seconds from pole.

PWR Racing team-mates Anton Marklund and Robert Dahlgren were close in fourth and fifth place, separated by just six thousands of a second.

Micke Bern was the top BMW driver for Exion Racing in sixth while Brink Motorsport’s Mikael Karlsson, who is placed third overall, complained about brake balance and ended up in seventh.

The second qualifying session saw Brink beating Eriksson with a margin of 0.140 seconds to secure pole for the second race.

Karlsson bounced back from his Q1 result to finish third in Q2, 0.381 seconds from team-mate Brink.

Graff claimed fourth place on the grid, 0.538 seconds from pole, with Marklund once again the top Cupra Born driver in fifth. Calle Bergman was sixth fastest ahead of Bern while reigning champion Dahlgren could only manage eighth.

The first race of the weekend starts at 10:00 CEST on Friday.
