Malte Ebdrup out of Ring Djursland weekend following high-speed crash

Malte Ebdrup crashed at high speed during the warm up session ahead of the first TCR Denmark race at Ring Djursland, escaping unharmed but seriously damaging his Honda Civic Type R TCR and the track barriers.

The incident happened at Turn 1 as Ebdrup seemingly suffered a brake failure and hit the barriers at high speed, clipped a light pole and landed on the other side of the track at Turn 3.

The young Danish driver is reported to be okay after the incident while his Honda is badly damaged – ruling him out for the remainder of the weekend.

The damaged barriers will not be repaired in time for the races, which will be delayed, instead yellow flags will be shown at Turn 1 throughout the day.
