Mike Halder claims Ring Djursland pole as field shrinks to eight cars
Points leader Mike Halder claimed pole position in qualifying for the first TCR Denmark race of the weekend at Ring Djursland as the field has shrunk to just eight cars.
TPR Motorsport driver Halder set a fastest lap time of 51.071 to beat Cupra driver Michael Markussen by 0.136 seconds.
Reigning champion Kasper Jensen (Honda) could only manage the third fastest time, 0.236 from pole, heading his two Mascot Motorsport team-mates.
Gustav Birch was fourth fastest, just 12 thousands of a second slower than Jensen, with Malte Edbrup in fifth, four tenths from pole.
Jacob Wunderow was sixth fastest ahead of René Povlsen and Philip Lindberg who was eighth and last.
Missing from this race weekend is Kim König due to a back injury and Lars Højris who chose not to take part in this round.
The first race of the weekend starts at 12:15 CEST on Sunday.
