Dan Cammish charges to first win of the season in Donington Park finale

Dan Cammish claimed his first win of the British Touring Car Championship season in the final race of the weekend at Donington Park, while Tom Ingram surged from 19th on the grid to score a sensational second place.

Starting from pole position, the Alliance Racing driver was never headed despite the threat of rain and a safety car intervention adding to the jeopardy. Leading from lights-to-flag, the Ford Focus driver reigned supreme comfortably to strengthen his title challenge.

Behind him, all eyes were on the Hyundai of Ingram as he produced one of the drives of the season. Starting on the back row of the grid, the 2022 champion carved his way to the front of the field and claim runners-up laurels ahead of Aron Taylor-Smith.

While Ingram rose through the order, bad luck would strike Ash Sutton and Colin Turkington as they found themselves on the receiving end of contact. For Sutton, he would be forced to visit the pit lane and ultimately finished a handful of laps down.

Turkington would manage to recover thanks to the safety car bunching the field up and his charge would bring him back to seventh at the chequered flag, finishing hot on the heels of Josh Cook, Jake Hill and Mikey Doble.

That aforementioned trio had a tantalising fight for top five honours with them all trading paint at various points. Cook would prevail to cap off a fine day in his Toyota while Hill vitally grabbed more points to leave with the championship lead.

Completing the top ten was Adam Morgan, Darly DeLeon and Sam Osborne.
