Twelve car entry set for Croft
A twelve car field is set to contest the next round of the TCR UK season this weekend at Croft, with four drivers set to miss out from the previous meeting at Oulton Park.
Joe Marshall – who sustained heavy damage to his Audi in an incident during the second race in Cheshire – will not make the trip to the North East for the fourth meeting of the campaign, with Cupra driver Luke Sargeant also not present.
Will Powell’s Honda Civic and the Vauxhall Astra of Jeff Alden are also missing – the latter meaning that just three Gen 1 machines are scheduled to contest the two races.
That is also down in part to the fact that series promoter Stewart Lines has swapped the ex-Brad Hutchison Audi that he raced at Oulton Park for a Hyundai i30 N TCR that will be run under the Maximum Motorsport with JamSport Racing banner.
The other revisions to the Oulton Park entry are the recently announced introduction of Sam Laidlaw with Capture Motorsport, as well as his father Steve switching over to Area Motorsport to race its Cupra León Competición.
