TCR South America set for Chilean expansion

The TCR South America series is set to expand to include races in a fourth country after a partnership was created to include races in Chile.

The series currently competes in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay but has signed an agreement with Moba Motorsport that will see work begin on securing a Chilean date on the calendar going forwards.

“We are excited by the idea of bringing TCR South America to Chile,” Federico Punteri, President of TCR South America, said.

“We are working together with Moba Motorsport with the aim of finding the supports needed to make this dream come true, which would contribute to raise the profile of motorsport in the country.”

Further details are set to be confirmed in the coming months.

“We are proud of this new partnership with TCR South America,” Carlos Montoya Bacigalupo, Director of Moba Motorsport added.

“To represent such a prestigious category in Chile is a challenge and an honour. We are committed to raise motorsport to a higher level in our country, offering the Chilean fans the excitement that is the hallmark of this international category.”
