Tobias Brink heads Robert Dahlgren in first Ljungbyhed test

Tobias Brink topped the first STCC test at Ljungbyhed by four tenths of a second ahead of 2022 champion Robert Dahlgren in the first test of the weekend, a test held in dry and hot conditions.

Alexander Graff (Volkswagen) was third fastest for Exion Racing, seven tenths from the top time of the session, while points leader Jimmy Eriksson (Tesla) was fourth, just over a second from his Brink Motorsport team-mate.

STCC newcomer Jonathan Engström impressed during his first test, setting the fifth fastest lap time behind the wheel of his BMW i4 of Exion Racing.

PWR Racing driver Anton Marklund (Cupra) was sixth fastest ahead of Månz Thalin (BMW) and STCC returnee Linus Ohlsson who rounded off the top eight.

Tesla driver Mikael Karlsson managed to get all of his 12 laps deleted for hitting the corner markings too many times, having been in the top five prior to this.

A total of 11 cars took part in the test as Viktor Gustavsson has been sidelined due to an injury.

The second test of the session starts at 14:00 CEST.
