Rubens Barrichello samples Lynk & CO
Former F1 racer Rubens Barrichello has sampled TCR machinery for the first time after getting behind the wheel of a PMO Motorsport Lynk & Co.
The Brazilian – who won eleven times during his F1 career – hit the track during a test session at Velocitta alongside son Eduardo, who has most recently been competing alongside his father in the Stock Car Pro Series.
The test in the Lynk & Co came at the invitation of the team after the pair visited the most recent rounds of the TCR South America and TCR Brazil seasons at the same circuit
“I had some ideas about how to handle a front-wheel drive from my experience in the Argentine TC 2000,” Barrichello Sr said, “but it was very interesting to test the TCR car.
“The TCR is very different from the Stock Car and this test was a learning curve for us,” his son added, “but I liked it a lot because it’s a very challenging car. We are here with the idea of attracting some sponsors to join the series in future.”
