Néstor Giolami tops first TCR World Tour practice at Mid-Ohio

Néstor Girolami headed a Hyundai 1-2-3 in the first FIA TCR World Tour practice session at Mid-Ohio in the USA, lapping the repaved circuit in 1:30.090.

Team-mate Mikel Azcona was closest behind, 0.236 slower, with points leader Norbert Michelisz in third, 0.313 seconds adrift.

Thed Björk was fastest of the Lynk & Co Cyan Racing drivers in fourth place, six tenths from the top time, with the Swede having raced single seaters here in 2000.

Esteban Guerrieri was the leading Honda driver for GOAT Racing, 0.647 seconds slower than Girolami’s top time.

Dusan Borkovic rounded off the top six, 0.765 seconds from P1.

Next up is free practice two, starting at 11:25 local time/17:25 CEST.
