Steve Laidlaw to complete 2024 season

Steve Laidlaw has confirmed that he will compete in the remaining events in the 2024 TCR UK season after a toe-in-the-water outing at Snetterton.

Laidlaw joined the grid in Norfolk at the wheel of a Hyundai i30 N being run by the Capture Motorsport team and scored a best result of eighth place from the three races.

As a result of the experience, Laidlaw has signed up for the remainder of the campaign, which kicks off at Oulton Park this weekend.

“I’m excited to confirm that I’ll be competing in the remaining rounds of this year’s TCR UK Touring Car Championship,” he said. “My experience at Snetterton, driving the Hyundai for the first time in anger was a real eye-opener. I’m looking forward to being on the grid for the rest of the year.

“I’m still learning about the Hyundai, however, Capture Motorsport have a lot of experience with running TCR cars in the UK and I look forward to making progress up the grid as I get more experience under my belt.”
