Jake Hill tops the times in damp opening practice
Jake Hill led the way in the opening British Touring Car Championship practice session of the weekend at Snetterton, with the NAPA Racing UK duo of Dan Cammish and Ash Sutton completing the top three.
In damp conditions at the Norfolk circuit, Hill hit the top of the times early on around the near three-mile circuit and was ultimately never bettered, finishing the session more than four tenths clear of the chasing pack.
Cammish and Sutton both improved late on to finish second and third whilst Bobby Thompson enjoyed an encouraging first outing in his BMW to end up fourth overall.
Double Brands Hatch race winner Colin Turkington was fifth ahead of home hero Rob Huff, former champion Tom Ingram and the Vauxhall Astra of Mikey Doble.
Completing the top ten was Tom Chilton and Adam Morgan; with the latter having endured a truncated session after sustaining damage to his car following an off-track excursion.
Free practice 2 is scheduled to begin at 12:25.
