Kasper Jensen claims Padborg opener pole position
Four-time TCR Denmark champion Kasper Jensen (Honda) picked up where he left off and claimed pole position for the Padborg Park season opener.
The RaceGroup driver beat TPR Motorsport’s Mike Halder by three tenths of a second, making it a Honda Civic Type R FL5 TCR 1-2.
Jensen’s team-mate Malte Ebdrup made a strong TCR Denmark debut with the third fastest time in the older FK7 Honda Civic, just 0.043 seconds from Halder.
Michael Markussen took his new Cupra León VZ TCR to fourth place, just shy of half a second from pole position, while René Povlsen was fifth, making it four Hondas in the top five.
Silas Rytter took his Insight Racing-prepared Hyundai i30 N TCR to sixth place ahead of Gustav Birch (Honda) and Philip Lindberg (Honda).
A total of 12 cars are entered for the season opener weekend.
The first of three races this weekend starts at 10:30 CEST on Sunday.
