SP Compétition confirms TCR Europe programme

SP Compétition has confirmed a two-car entry into the new TCR Europe season, which is due to begin in Italy next weekend.

The French team will run two Cupras in the series for Aurélien Comte and Giovanni Scamardi having competed in the Paul Ricard event last season, where Comte picked up a brace of top-five finishes.

Former WTCR race winner Comte last competed in TCR Europe on a full-time basis back in 2019 with the DG Sport team, finishing the season seventh in the standings at the wheel of a Peugeot 308.

Scamardi meanwhile made a one-off appearance in the series last year with Aggressive Team Italia, scoring a best finish of seventh in a Hyundai Elantra at Monza.
