Cupra Sweden-PWR confirms Dahlgren and Bengtsson for 2024 STCC season

Cupra Sweden-PWR has renewed its contract with four-time champion Robert Dahlgren and junior champion Axel Bengtsson for the 2024 STCC season.

“Above all, the season is about always finishing races and picking up as many points as possible, and doing all the basics as well as we can do,” said Dahlgren.

“We are always racing to win, and the new electric STCC doesn’t make that any different. I know this is going to be a big challenge for myself and the entire PWR but we are going to work as a team to achieve our goals.”

Bengtsson made his STCC debut in 2022, securing the junior title and a debut win in the Mantorp season finale.

“It feels absolutely fantastic to get the chance to continue on with the best team in STCC and work with very talented people,” said Bengtsson.

The team is going to field three all-electric Cupra Born race cars in the 2024 season, with the third driver to be revealed “soon”.

“With Robert Dahlgren and Axel Bengtsson we have a formidable driver line-up to defend our STCC titles this year,” said Marcus Ekström, team manager of CUPRA Sweden-PWR.
