Adam Shepherd makes Cupra switch with Area Motorsport

Adam Shepherd will be back on the TCR UK grid this season, switching to a new Cupra Leon Competición TCR with reigning team champions Area Motorsport.

“I’m excited to get on circuit this week. We have switched over to a Gen2 Cupra Leon Competición for 2024 running with Area Motorsport and look forward to seeing what we can do,” said Shepherd.

Shepherd drove a Hyundai for the team last year and finished fifth overall with one win and a total of six podium finishes.

“We are a bit up against it time-wise as the first time out in the car is race weekend so we have a lot to learn, but we are confident we can hit the ground running and push to be right at the front,” said Shepherd.

“The aim as always is to push for as many wins as possible and go for the overall championship. Huge thanks to all my sponsors for getting me on the grid. Without them, it wouldn’t be possible!”

The Brit joins already confirmed team-mate Luke Sargeant who will drive a Cupra as well.
