Ryan Bensley secures first Lynk & Co seat
Civic Cup racer Ryan Bensley has been named as the first driver for the new-look Pro Alloys Racing programme in TCR UK.
Bensley will drive one of two Lynk & Co 03 TCRs being entered by the team, which is embarking on a first full season in the series following two outings in 2023.
Alistair Camp won with the team in a Hyundai last season having also stepped up from the Civic Cup.
“To be racing in a touring car is something I have always wanted to do, but to race the Lynk and Co is an opportunity I can’t wait to grab,” Bensley said. “I know it will be tough but I have the team behind me to have success in the championship, so I will be working hard to get to the sharp end this year.
“My time in the Milltek Sport Civic Cup has proven to be a great platform for me and staying with Pro Alloys Racing, who warrant success at a higher level, cements my view that it’s one of the toughest championships in the UK as I have always said.”
Bensley will race the car previously campaigned by Viktor Andersson in TCR Europe.
