Garry Townsend confirms second TCR UK season

Garry Townsend will be back for his second TCR UK season this year, again racing an Audi RS 3 LMS with his own team Townsend Motorsport.

“2023 was a shift for me, after racing in different motorsport disciplines for the past 38 years, I learnt so much about the Audi Gen2 in the process of last year as well as the close and exciting racing in TCR UK, it was a pleasure to be a part of,” said Townsend.

“Touring Cars was always the aim and last year I achieved that aim. Now I want to improve and improve the car further as I look to make my way forward in what was an exciting chapter last year and is already looking more competitive for 2024.”

Townsend finished 23rd overall last year and as runner-up in the Goodyear Diamond Award for drivers aged 40 and over.
