Will Powell rejoins TCR UK for 2024

Will Powell has become the first driver confirmed for the 2024 TCR UK season after inking a deal to join forces with Bert Taylor’s new Taylor Racing Developments squad.

Powell will race a Honda Civic Type R FK7 TCR entered under the Sport 77 team banner as part of a full-season programme, with a goal of making a move to the newer FL5 Honda later in the year.

“It’s great to be able to confirm my entry with the Honda Civic Type R FK7 TCR for the 2024 season and a new team identity with Sport77,” he said. “TCR UK as championship has made big strides forward in recent seasons and I’m ready to take part in what looks like its most competitive season so far.



“As a team we are very excited to be the latest addition to the TCR UK grid in 2024, working with Bert Taylor who has been key to creating the opportunity and becoming part of the JAS Motorsport family.

“Having Sean [Hurley – engineer] on board adds to the talent we have, which will give us a positive start to the new season as we prepare the FK7 to go racing.
