Ignacio Montenegro, Levente Losonczy join JAS Development Programme

Ignacio Montenegro and Levente Losonczy have been named as the first two members of the JAS Driver Development Programme for the 2024 season

Both TCR South America champion Montenegro and TCR Italy front-runner Losonczy will compete with the ALM Motorsport team during the season ahead.

Montenegro will race in both TCR Europe and TCR Spain, whilst Losonczy will compete in TCR Europe and TCR Italy.

“First of all, I wish to thank all the people who helped me to reach this goal of joining the JAS Motorsport Driver Development Programme and ALM Motorsport programme to continue my career in Europe,” Montenegro said.

“The TCR concept is also instrumental, because racing the same cars as the one I drove in TCR South America makes everything easier. I hope to be up to the task of representing the Argentine colours at the highest level.”

Losonczy said he was keen to use his time on the programme to take steps forward as a driver.

“I’m very excited to join the JAS Motorsport Driver Development Programme and to confirm a race programme with a team as prestigious as ALM Motorsport,” he said.

“The DDP offers me the chance to learn so much about how to be a professional racing driver; learning about the car, teamwork and self-preparation and I plan to take everything I possibly can from the experience.

“I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to drive the Honda for the first time.”
