René Povlsen joins Mike Halder at TPR Motorsport

René Povlsen is going to race alongside Mike Halder at TPR Motorsport in the 2024 TCR Denmark season.

“I’ve been looking for a setup where I could learn something new with a driver who is faster than me, and I certainly have that found in Mike Halder,” said Povlsen.

“At Meteor Racing, Allan [Kristensen] and I were evenly matched, so it will be good to have someone with more experience to be able to learn something from.”

Povlsen raced an Audi for Meteor Racing this season to finish 13th overall with a seventh place finish at Padborg Park as his best result.

For 2024, Povlsen will switch to a new Honda, just as team-mate Halder.

“Just like Mike Halder, I will be driving the new Honda Civic FL5, which I have so far only tested a little. However, it looks promising and I am looking forward to benefiting from Mike’s extensive experience with Honda,” said Povlsen.
