TBL list for 2024 BTCC season delayed
The announcement of the TOCA BTCC Licence holders for the 2024 BTCC season has been delayed after organisers announced an extension to the scheduled entry deadline.
The deadline had been due to pass on Friday (1 Dec), with the list of TBL holders then being confirmed this week to reveal the number of cars expected to appear on the grid next season.
However, a brief statement from the series revealed that the announcement of the list has now been delayed to allow for the potential movement of a number of licences – which are required in order to run a car.
“Due to very recent and complex on-going matters regarding the use of three TBLs in particular, TOCA has extended the initial registration timeframe to allow a sufficient period for the re-allocation of those TBLs to be finalised,” the statement read.
“TOCA will issue the approved TBL list when this process has been concluded.”
Whilst there has been no official word over which three TBLs are involved, the future of Team HARD has been the topic of much discussion in recent days amidst ongoing speculation that the Cupra team will not be part of the 2024 grid.
