Mike Halder makes Honda switch for 2024
Mike Halder will return to the TCR Denmark grid for the 2024 season but with a new car as he bids to fight for the championship title.
Halder has finished as runner-up in each of the last two seasons at the wheel of an Audi RS 3 LMS but will move into a new Honda Civic FL5 in his quest to secure the crown.
The car will continue to be run by TPR Motorsport.
“The Audi is still fast on the big European racetracks, but the Honda is better suited to the smaller, Danish tracks,” he said. “I have experience with the old Honda and the test with the new model was really good. It feels as quick as the old one, maybe even faster.”
Halder’s tem-mates will be announced in due course, with team boss Toni Persic confident of a title challenge.
“I expect to win and I believe we are on the right track now,” he said. “We put Mike back in a Honda and it seems to fit him very well.
“The only reason we are here is to win and now we are making preparations to find sponsors and get the car home so we can start testing properly.”
