Jacob Mathiassen joins Silas Rytter at Insight Racing

Jacob Mathiassen returns to the TCR Denmark series in 2024, joining Silas Rytter at Insight Racing.

“I’ve driven Super GT for Nymark Racing this year, it was a bit of a difficult season and although there were some bright spots, it wasn’t quite what I had hoped for,” said Mathiassen.

“I’ve had a good dialogue the whole time with Martin, who owns Insight Racing, so when the opportunity presented itself with sponsors who wanted to be involved, I jumped at it.”

The Dane last raced in the 2022 TCR Denmark season, finishing fourth overall for Insight Racing with four podiums, racing an Alfa Romeo.

For 2024 Mathiassen will race a Hyundai i30 N TCR together with Rytter who finished eighth overall last year for Insight Racing.

“I expect to fight in the top three of the championship, that is our clear objective. I finished fourth overall in 2022 in an Alfa Romeo and now I really get some competitive equipment in the form of a Hyundai TCR car. The competition is fierce in the series, so it will really be an exciting challenge and I’m very excited to be back,” said Mathiassen.
