Norbert Michelisz hit with post-race penalty for Race 1 contact

Norbert Michelisz has been handed a five-second penalty for contact with Yann Ehrlacher in the first TCR World Tour race of the weekend in Uruguay.

The two were fighting for fifth place when Hyundai driver Michelisz made contact with Ehrlacher while defending.

The penalty drops Michelisz to sixth position, elevating Cyan Racing’s Ehrlacher to fifth place, with no further changes to the result list.

Michelisz started the race from fourth position while Ehrlacher started ninth.
