Martin Andersen joins Outzen Motorsport for two TCR Denmark races
Reigning TCR Germany champion Martin Andersen is going to join Outzen Motorsport in the coming two TCR Denmark races, driving a Hyundai i30 N TCR.
“I am excited to come back. We had a good test at the Jyllandsringen earlier this week, and I’m looking forward to driving at home again,” said Andersen.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve raced in front of the Danish audience, so that we can do it together with Outzen Motorsport for what are two of the biggest weekends in the calendar, is a task I’m looking forward to to start.”
The Dane last raced in the 2020 season of TCR Denmark, finishing second overall.
“I had one requirement to enter TCR again, and that was that we had to be with where there is passion,” said team owner Michael Outzen.
“Martin was an obvious choice for that task, because his racing DNA is just as serious and ingrained as it gets. So when he approached us, I didn’t really have any doubts. We just had to get the formalities to go up, and we have put together a really strong team, that I hope can do a really good job.”
Andersen joins the TCR Denmark field at Jyllandsringen this weekend and the penultimate race at Padborg Park on September 15-16.
