New Civics to join TCR China grid at Zhejiang

The FL5 version of the Honda Civic Type R will make its debut in TCR China when the series heads to the Zhejiang International Circuit.

Having run in an older FK7 Civic during his debut in Shanghai, Jack Young – who currently sits fifth in the points – will now get the chance to sample the FL5 for the time, as will team-mate André Couto.

Couto will be making his first appearance of the season having inked a deal to compete alongside Young in the Dongfeng Honda Racing team.

The two new cars will be part of a field of 34 entered for the weekend, with Lynk & Co racer David Zhu currently leading the way ahead of team-mate Jason Zhang.

Martin Cao – who joined Zhu in scoring a race win during round one – lies in third place.
