Colin Turkington excluded from qualifying results

Colin Turkington will start the opening BTCC race of the weekend at Oulton Park from the back of the grid after the West Surrey Racing driver was excluded from the results of qualifying.

Turkington had successfully made it through the second phase of the session before securing seventh on the grid at the wheel of his BMW 330e M Sport.

However, his car then ‘failed to comply with the post-session scrutineering checks regarding fuel’, with the end result being the loss of his qualifying times and demotion to the back of the field.

It promotes Adam Morgan up into the top ten in his place.
