Comtoyou doubles up for Vallelunga
The Comtoyou Racing team will double up to four cars for the latest round of the TCR World Tour this weekend at Vallelunga.
Alongside regular pairing Rob Huff and Frédéric Vervisch, the team will run two additional Audi RS 3 LMS TCRs for TCR Europe pairing Kobe Pauwels and John Filippi.
With the opening two rounds of the season – at Portimão and Spa – having run alongside TCR Europe, both drivers have already contested four World Tour races, with Filippi scoring victory last time out in Belgium.
That leaves the French driver ninth in the points, ahead of a number of World Tour regulars, whilst Pauwels holds twelfth with his best result being fourth place.
The addition of the pair means a total of 16 cars are entered for the TCR Italian Festival, a lower than expected number after the initial announcement of the event back in January suggested that ACI Vallelunga and ACI Sport would select ‘a maximum of 18 TCR Italy’ competitiors to join the grid.
