Nelson Marcondes joins PMO Motorsport for Interlagos

The PMO Motorsport team has announced the signing of Brazilian racer Nelson Marcondes for the latest round of the TCR South American season this weekend.

Marcondes will team-up with Frederick Balbi at the wheel of the #24 Lynk & Co 03 TCR for the endurance event at Interlagos, which will also double as the first event for the new TCR Brazil series.

Marcondes will be making his TCR debut and takes the place of Matias Russo, who shared the car with Balbi at Termas de Rio Honda.

“My expectation is very high,” Marcondes said. “The last time I drove a front-wheel drive car was in 2012 when I was competing in MINI CHALLENGE.

“I’m very excited to debut at TCR South America and to have the opportunity to share the Lynk &Co with Frederick Balbi. I believe it will be a competitive race with possibilities to fight for the win.”

Marcondes has spent recent seasons running in the Porsche GT3 Challenge Brazil.
