Dan Cammish excluded from Snetterton finale
Dan Cammish has been stripped of his podium finish in the final BTCC race of the weekend at Snetterton after his Ford Focus failed post-race checks.
Cammish had battled his way to second place behind Tom Ingram to complete a solid recovery from the incident in qualifying that had left him at the back of the grid for race one, and picked up solid points to maintain his title challenge.
However, his Motorbase-run car failed the ride height test following race three, which resulted in him being excluded from the results – moving Rory Butcher up into second spot and meaning a first podium of the campaign for Dan Rowbottom.
Cammish’s disqualification and the subsequent loss of points means he drops to fourth in the standings ahead of the next round of the campaign at Thruxton.
